Plants need sunlight to live, but they also need to block the sun's more harmful rays.

6 Organisms That Cheat The System

Humans are not the only animal that use cheats to make things easier. Some of the animals and plants have weird but very clever cheating skills to survive in their environment.

Another Beautiful Random Flora Snapshot

Another Beautiful Random Flora Snapshot Photographed By Renard Moreau
I felt that this plant was worthy of being photographed.
Well, it is no big secret that I have a huge appreciation for beauty (I am quite fond of photographing trees, plants and flowers).

The biggest joke of all is: I do not know the name of this plant (And, I do not think that I need to know its name in order to appreciate its beauty).

I had a strong urge to photograph something; so I went outside of my house and I photographed this beauty; I hope that you like it. Enjoy!

Another Beautiful Random Flower-Shot

Another Beautiful Random Flower-Shot Photographed By Renard Moreau
More of Mother Nature's beauties.
Recently, I took a random snapshot of these beauties at Convent Street, Arouca (I couldn't let the sight of those flowers go by without photographing them; which is what happens when you are a lover of Nature).

I love to photograph flowers and people love to look at photographs of flowers (So, things are definitely in favour for both the photographer and the viewer). Enjoy!

Bon Air Gardens, Arouca: Paradise In East Trinidad

Bon Air Gardens, Arouca
Bon Air Gardens, Arouca (Photo credit: MapQuest)
Bon Air Gardens, Arouca, is a lovely place; it is one of those places that I visit regularly; since I live a stone's throw away from its border.

Although, it has changed a lot structurally (like many other places throughout The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago) it is still a very warm and welcoming place.

Bon Air Gardens, Arouca, is considered by me to be one of the best housing communities in the eastern part of The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.

Bon Air Gardens' Exercise Facility Is Close By

Since I live extremely close to Bon Air Gardens, Arouca, I have made it a habit of mines to jog on the grounds of the Bon Air Gardens exercise facility; it is brightly-lit all around by those tall lights that are found at stadiums (Which is perfect to see where I am placing my footing at approximately four o'clock in the morning).

I am not the only one who likes to use the Bon Air Gardens exercise facility; the elderly (and, the not so elderly) are out on the exercise equipment, doing some brisk walking and some jogging on the exercise grounds and ninety nine percent of them live right in the heart of Bon Air Gardens, Arouca (If there is an exercise facility right in one's area, it would be a very wise decision to utilize it with the intentions of keeping fit and remaining healthy).

I Have Friends Who Live In Bon Air Gardens, Arouca

I always have an excuse to visit Bon Air Gardens, Arouca, because I have friends of mine who live there (And, since Bon Air Gardens, Arouca, is so close to home, I cannot make foolish excuses at to why I am unable to pay them a visit).

My good friend and DJ, Nigel "Sicky" Kinsale lives in Bon Air Gardens, Arouca and I enjoy paying him regular visits; because he has a humongous music collection and our tastes in music are very similar to each other's.

The People In Bon Air Gardens, Arouca, Are Friendly

Now, I probably bring out the best in people; but every time that I approach them or socialize with them, they exude friendliness.

Anyone seeing them for the first time in their life would gather the impression, that the people in Bon Air Gardens, Arouca, are basically, happy people.

Bon Air Gardens, Arouca, Needs A Bigger Community Centre

Someone once mentioned to me that the tiny building on the grounds of the exercise facility in Bon Air Gardens, Arouca, is actually the community centre; I looked at the person in disbelief, because I knew the community of Bon Air Gardens, Arouca, is a fairly large one.

It is alleged that those in political power were going to build a larger community centre on the unoccupied piece of land that is next to the Bon Air Gardens exercise facility and a small group of people in the area protested against it, because they thought that the community centre would have been too close to the housing community; if that is indeed true, that reason is a ridiculous one, because a community centre is supposed to be within a community; hence the term, "Community centre."

Hopefully, one day, the government would fund the building of a much larger community centre in Bon Air Gardens, Arouca (The community has expanded, therefore, the community centre needs to expand too).

Bon Air Gardens, Arouca, Needs Its Own Health Centre

The old health centre in Arouca is always filled with people who are in need of basic healthcare and a person can actually spend over an hour there before their number is called (Yes, people are required to take a number as soon as they enter that building).

A health centre in Bon Air Gardens, Arouca, will not only be good for its community; it would also lessen the large numbers of people that the doctors and the nurses face at the current health centre in Arouca.

Bon Air Gardens, Arouca, is a fairly large place and a health centre would definitely be an asset to its community.

There Are A Lot Of PNM Supporters Living In Bon Air Gardens, Arouca

In The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, a lot of people are heavily involved in politics (And, Bon Air Gardens, Arouca, is no different where the love for politics is concerned).

During election-time, a very large number of the residents would proudly place PNM (People's National Movement) banners and posters in front of their houses.

Even though I do not deal in politics, I sincerely believe that people are free to support any political party that they desire.

However, there are some people in Bon Air Gardens, Arouca, who support other political parties and in spite of their political differences, they tend to get along well with each other.

A Large Number Of The People In Bon Air Gardens, Arouca, Are Religious

I have discovered that there are a large percentage of people who are members of the Spiritual Baptist faith, Jehovah's Witnesses and Catholics.

There is also a reasonable amount of people in Bon Air Gardens, Arouca, who are members of the Muslim faith and there are Hindus that also live in the same area.

Bon Air Gardens, Arouca, is filled with religious diversity (Which is one of the reasons why, it is such a wonderful community).

There Are Lots Of Trees And Plants In Bon Air Gardens, Arouca

Although the landscape of Bon Air Gardens has changed a lot, it is still possible to come by many plants and trees (If you go through my blog archive, you will encounter photographs that I took of them).

It may not have as much flora as it did years ago, but there is enough plants and trees around to make one feel a deep sense of serenity.

Hopefully, they are not going to cut down those beautiful trees or remove those exotic plants to expand what many of us have playfully termed, "The concrete jungle."

Bon Air Gardens, Arouca, Is Filled With Productive People

Bon Air Gardens Arouca, has residents who are police officers, firemen, school teachers, technicians, barbers, hair dressers, cooks, entrepreneurs, mechanics, deejays, musicians (And, I have only mentioned a small list of occupations; in reality that is just the proverbial icing (or frosting) on the cake, since Bon Air Gardens, Arouca, is filled with highly skilled and talented people.

There Are Small Businesses Within Bon Air Gardens, Arouca

If you were to enter Bon Air Gardens, Arouca, you would immediately recognize that it is filled with lots of small shops (The people there are interested in making an honest dollar).

So, most people can buy food and beverages without having the cause to go all the way to the supermarket (For the record, the people in Bon Air Gardens, Arouca, do go to the supermarket, because those small shops do not sell everything).

Even I have purchased a few items from some of those small shops in Bon Air Gardens, Arouca (I will personally admit that they do come in very handy).

There Is The Occasional Trouble In Paradise

Although the majority of the people get along well with each other, there are a handful of gangs who would hold grievances towards each other; a person from the Phase one area in Bon Air Gardens, Arouca, might be prohibited to walk through (or driving through) the Phase two area in Bon Air Gardens, Arouca and vice versa (Thankfully, the feudalism has died down and there have not been any casualties due to gang warfare in a very long time).

Now, I hope that did not spoil your view of the beautiful place that Bon Air Gardens, Arouca, truly is; since there are gangs within almost all of the communities throughout The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and it is not a problem that is exclusive to Bon Air Gardens, Arouca.

Some Wishful Thinking About Bon Air Gardens, Arouca

If Bon Air Gardens, Arouca was  larger, the developers could have built its own shopping mall; that would have created more jobs for those people living in the community of Bon Air Gardens, Arouca.

Also, it would have been the ideal place for the people in the area of Arouca to shop and pay their bills.

Currently, people who live in Bon Air Gardens, Arouca, go outside of Arouca to shop and to pay their bills; this is done mostly in the areas of Trincity and Arima.

If Bon Air Gardens, Arouca had a large shopping mall of their own, their community would have been a self-sustaining one; since many local and foreign companies would have been conducting their business in that area.

There Are Regular Police Patrols In Bon Air Gardens, Arouca

The police are known to patrol Bon Air Gardens, Arouca, around the clock (It is done as a routine and not because of the area being a hot crime spot; which by the way, it is not; but I have to admit that their regular presence in Bon Air Gardens, Arouca, is enough to deter crime; since it would cause any evildoer to think twice about committing an illegal act).

The Conclusion

Bon Air Gardens, Arouca, is a beautiful place (I know that for a fact, because I have traversed that area regularly).

Like any other community throughout The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, Bon Air Gardens, Arouca, would have its occasional squabbles.

Despite the fact that the landscape of Bon Air Gardens, Arouca, has changed a lot, it is still a beautiful place to walk through (or to drive through); which would enable anyone to soak up the beauty of its surroundings (And, I would even go a step further by insinuating that it is a great place to live).

A Beautiful Wet Leaf

A Beautiful Wet Leaf Photographed By Renard Moreau
A lovely snapshot of a plant.
Today (Tuesday 18th, November), was a rainy day in The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. When the rain had ceased, I went outside and I took a snapshot of this beautiful plant; I immediately noticed that the large leaf on top was covered with water droplets and the remaining leaves were somewhat dry (Hmm. Quite amazing).

Anyway, I hereby dedicate this photo to all of the plant-lovers on the world wide web. Enjoy!

A Lovely Tropical View

A Lovely Tropical View Photographed By Renard Moreau
Some flora that is indigenous to the tropical region of
The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.
Today (Friday 14th, November), I was in the mood to photograph something beautiful; so I went out and I took this snapshot of a lovely scenic view (One can get the tropical feel by just looking at this picture).

The nature-lovers would be pleased to know that this photo was taken in the Arouca area; which is merely one of the lovely locations in The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. Enjoy!

Another Photogenic Plant

A lovely-looking plant.
Today (Sunday 2nd, November), I was in Five Rivers, Arouca. I was there to help out a friend of the family with their scaffolding (I volunteered to move it from the the front of their house to the side of their house); after I was through with that task, I took out my camera and photographed this very beautiful plant; which was in their yard (The truth is: I volunteered for the task, because I knew that they have beautiful plants in their yard and I was desperate to photograph something new).

Also, I knew quite well that the plant-lovers would appreciate seeing a photo of another beautiful plant on my blog (So, things worked out well for the person who wanted their scaffolding moved and it also worked out for myself, because I was extremely eager to photograph something new).

Lash Plants Before Sunrise

Photo Of Lash Plants Taken By Renard Moreau
Irresistible-looking lash plants.
Recently, I took this photo of these lash plants; they were taken in Bon Air Gardens, Arouca (I was returning home from my usual exercise routine and the Sun wasn't up in the sky as yet; the place was still dark; that is what happens when one exercises very early in the morning).

I couldn't wait for the sunshine (because that would have been a very long wait) and besides, I like photographing plants in various shades of light (and darkness too); which happens to be one of my favourite types of experiments. Enjoy!

Beautiful-Looking Spanish Thyme

Beautiful-Looking Spanish Thyme
Spanish thyme within my own garden.
Today, I decided to photograph some Spanish thyme (Plectranthus Amboinicus) that I have at home; those large leaves looked most photogenic.

Spanish thyme is used for culinary purposes in The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago; its unique flavour is used to spice up a lot of our recipes.

It has its medicinal purposes too; it can be used to cure coughs, alleviate sore throats and relieve nasal congestion.

Another Day Of Mixed Weather

Mixed Weather (Photo
credit: deviantart.com)
One moment it is sunny and the other moment it is raining; it is usually like that in The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago; especially in the rainy season.

Honestly, I am unable to handle the massive heatwave and I am always grateful for cooler temperatures.

The average temperature can be around 34 degrees Celsius (93.2 degrees Fahrenheit).

Some people are good at dealing with high temperatures and others are not (That is the way the figurative cookie crumbles).

I know for a fact that if the plants get too much heat from the Sun, they are going to dry up and die; which is why I am happy to know that they are going to receive their fair share of rain.

And, when we human beings are besieged by excessive heat, we begin to feel physically and mentally lethargic.

I might be biased where the weather is concerned, but I prefer the rain any day!

Beautiful Vine And Flowers

Splendid-looking yellow flowers on a vine.
Earlier today, I took this picture of this beautiful vine and flowers (You all probably know by now that I have a penchant for beautiful things).

Besides, I thought that I was way behind my photography for the month of August. Enjoy!

A Beautiful Fern

A rather photogenic fern.
Today, I took it upon myself to photograph this beautiful fern; thankfully, I didn't have far to go to photograph this fern, because it was located in my own yard.

From my perspective, ferns are beautiful (And, I wouldn't doubt for one moment that there aren't any fern-lovers on world wide web). Enjoy!

Sprinkled Leaves

These leaves are nice-looking when wet.
Today, it really rained heavily in my part of the world (The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago).

I felt that I was a little behind in my photography, so I went out into my own backyard and I photographed these leaves; they were sprinkled with raindrops and I also thought that they were picture-perfect!

Damp Greenery

A beautiful moist plant.
Earlier on today, I took the liberty of photographing this beautiful image; which is a a plant with a few rain droplets on it.

I felt like doing something special for my plant-lovers on the world wide web. Enjoy!

Caterpillars Reign

Hungry caterpillars looking for a meal.
Earlier today, I caught a view of some caterpillars that were having themselves a field-day; they were crawling around and consuming the leaves of this particular plant.

I had my camera on me; I was eagerly awaiting for the moment to photograph something special (And, that was the special moment).

This beautiful snapshot was taken in Bon Air Gardens, Arouca. Enjoy!

Another Interesting-Looking Plant

A plant worthy of photographing.
Whenever I am walking with a camera on me (which is like 99% of the time), I always keep my eyes out for beauty; so I could photograph it.

Here is another beautiful snapshot that was taken in Bon Air Gardens, Arouca; it is a lovely-looking plant (Unfortunately, I do not know the name of that plant; all I know is, that the plant is beautiful and photogenic).

More Beautiful Flora

Beautiful-looking flora.
Earlier on today, I was in Bon Air Gardens, Arouca; while I was there, this beautiful-looking thing caught my attention; it appeared to be some type of flower.

Now, I don't have to tell you that I photographed it.

I hereby dedicate this image to all of the people who love plants, trees and flowers.

An irresistible beauty.
I was walking through the neighbourhood when I encountered these beauties; I had my camera with me and there was no way on God's green Earth that I was going to pass them by without taking a snapshot. Enjoy!
