Is Alexa Worth Its Weight In Gold?

For as long as I could remember, some website administrators and bloggers have relied on Alexa for finding out how their website or blog ranked globally; while there is nothing wrong in this, I have to say that the Alexa ranking system is heavily flawed, because it only collects data from those who have installed the plugin on their browser.

The reality is: the majority of the people who visits your website or blog, will not have the Alexa toolbar installed; which will automatically result in an inaccurate global ranking.

I have known bloggers who had tons of visitors to their blogs and despite the fact that their own blog site showed that their daily statistics were impressive, Alexa ranked them poorly. So, dear friends, do not rely on Alexa's so-called global ranking system to ascertain whether or not your website or blog is doing well.

Alexa is a waste of time and therefore, Amazon should scrap that technical failure that they call a global ranking system.

From my perspective, Alexa, doesn't worth its weight in gold!
